He was predeceased by: his parents, Nolan Havens and Marie Havens; and his brothers, Andrew Havens and Patrick Havens. He is survived by: his wife Linda Havens (Kernodle); his children, Michele Hopwood (John), Angie Sturm (Steve) and Gary Havens (Leslie); his grandchildren, Carie Mossman (Andy), Anthony Hopwood (Tiffany), Kasie Pieri (Dylan), Kylie Swintz (Nick), Megan Bennett (Jackson) and Madison Havens; his great grandchildren, Hayleigh Hopwood, Lucas Mossman, Evie Mossman, Greysen Hopwood and Kieran Swintz; and his siblings, Mike Havens (Debbie), Nola Gregg (Tom), Walter Havens and Martha Buckel (Bob).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
