He was predeceased by: his sisters, Ruby Helfer and Wilma Strader. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Thompson; his children, Elisa Rifkind (Marc) and Blaine Thompson (Jinjer); and his brother Charles Thompson. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
