It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Schindler of Brownsburg, Indiana, born in Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on November 19, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Eugene and Kathleen Melinda Schindler (Allee); his grandson Alex Nicole; and his siblings, Robert Carol Schindler and Patricia Jane Horrigan.

He is survived by: his wife Laura May Schindler (Proctor); his sibling Thomas Eugene; his children, Julie Scharlau (Mike), John Schindler, Jr. (Teresa) and Eddie Schindler (Trina); his grandchildren, Christopher (Krista), Jessica (Jason), Michelle, Zack, Megan, Ally, Justin and Alyssa; and his great grandchildren, Haleigh, Braiden, Caleb, Delaney and Aubrey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews as well as many life-long friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pike Township Lions Club, Attention: Pat Sherck, Treasurer, 246 Meridian Ct, Pittsboro, IN 46167.
