He was predeceased by: his sister Christina Ransom; and his grandparents, Harold, Betty Knoll, Arthur and Lois Ransom.

He is survived by: his mother Nancy Jean Ransom (Knoll) of Kent, OH; his son Lawrence "Knoll" Ransom of Brownsburg; his father Richard Ransom; his siblings, Jennifer Branthoover (Jeffry) of Hudson, OH, Julie Chaney (Josh) of Tallmadge, OH and John Ransom (Candice) of Kent, OH; and also Penny. He is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews.
