He was predeceased by: his wife Eluz Velez; his daughter Lilia Barias; and his sister Awilda Breban. He is survived by: his daughter Maira Sanchez; and his siblings, Miguel Velez, Carmen Velez and Olga Velez. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
