He was predeceased by: his parents, Sarah Ashby (Neuhaus) and Raymond Ashby; his brothers, David and Robert; and his granddaughter Holly.
He is survived by: his sister Barbara Jacobs; his sister-in-law Phyllis Ashby; his children, Mike Ashby (Janet), Tony Williams, Joyce Kendall, Jan Ashby, Laura Foster (Steve), Angela Wing (Richard) and Dina Thomas; and his grandchildren, Brad, Kelly, Greg (Chelsea), Whitney (Trevor), Shawn (Brittney), Hayley (Eric), Chase (Emily), Kyle, Amber (Chris), Brittney (Benjamin), Mallory (Nolan), Quinton, Lydia (Paul) and Erik. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren, many extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Cornerstone Lutheran Church (6100 N Raceway Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46234). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
