Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Ersie Ree Hurt of Brownsburg, Indiana, who passed away at the age of 83, on February 22, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Harrison and Flora Goad Harrison; her husband Kenneth E. Hurt; and her son-in-law Michael A. Brooks. She is survived by: her daughter Rebecca Brooks; her sister Vivian Cleary; her granddaughters, Christina Powell (James) and Stephanie Brooks; her great grandchildren, Matthew Powell and Michael Powell (Amber); and her great great grandchildren, Jonah and Lilah.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the West Ridge Park Cemetery (9295 W 21st St, Indianapolis, IN 46234). She used her seamstress skills making masks during the pandemic, sewing scrubs for her daughters work team, and cabbage patch dolls for her granddaughters.
