He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alvise "Gigi" and Rina Andretti (Benvengnu); his siblings, Mario and Anna Maria Burley; his son John Andretti; his wife Carolyn "Corky" (Stofflet); his children, Carolyn Molander (Scott), Mark Andretti (Diane), Mary Jo Dial (Bobby) and Adam Andretti (Tabitha); and his daughter-in-law Nancy Andretti (Summers). He was also cherished by 11 grandchildren.

“In loving memory for Aldo! I’m now 68, and started listening to Andretti racing on my Emerson transistor radio when I was 12. I read about Aldo crashing his sprint car in Road and Track magazine. I studied the Indy articles and watched ABC WW of Sports, cheering the Andretti’s on. I finally got my photo with Aldo and Mario at the Arivaderchi Tour at Laguna Seca. Aldo was such a nice fellow.
