Virginia Ruth Hunt Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Ruth Hunt of Brookville, Indiana, who passed away on April 12, 2025, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John C. Lohrey and Katherine Lohrey (Senefeld); her husband James E. Hunt; and her siblings, Freda K. Kremp, Pauline E. Hertel Evans, Marie A. Kremp, Mabel M. Brackney, Florence Underwood, Alfred Lohrey and Woodrow M. Lohrey.
She is survived by: her nieces, Doris Hertel Tague, Karen Brackney Niedenthal, Bonnie Lohrey Chaney, Donna Lohrey Drenchen and Lou Ann Hertel. She is also survived by many great nieces & nephews and great-great nieces & nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home (1025 Franklin Ave, Brookville, IN 47012). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Thomas Lutheran Church (823 Franklin Ave, Brookville, IN 47012). A burial was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at the Maple Grove Cemetery (8126 Maple Grove Rd, Brookville, IN 47012).
