With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James L Wells Sr. of Brookville, Indiana, born in Hamilton, Ohio, who passed away on September 17, 2022 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Wells and Mattie Mae Wells (Sandlin); his former wife Geneva Sparks; his wife Irene R. Pennington Wells; his siblings, Donald Wells and Freda Culver; and his son-in-law David Schafer.
He is survived by: his children, Sharon Schafer of Grand Junction, James L. Wells Jr. (Janet) of Crossville, Leslie Mikesell of New Lisbon and Lisa Nichols (Chris) of Brookville, Indiana; his sisters, Betty Sparks of Brookville and Carol Lohrey (Ralph) of Brookville, Indiana; and his grandchildren, John Murrell, Rachel Deitsch, Desirae Parker, Blake Schafer, Nicholas Wells, Heather Mikesell, Cody Mikesell, Skylar Mikesell, Brittany Mischell, Tyler Nichols and Brody Nichols. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
