It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gayle K. Harnishfeger of Brookville, Indiana, who passed away on March 14, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Richter and Gertrude Richter (Baas); her husband Jerry F. Harnishfeger; and her siblings-in-law, Terry Richter and Allen McCool.
She is survived by: her children, Lauri Ann Sturwold (Mark) of St. Leon, Tommy D. Burns of Sunman and Douglas S. Burns of Aurora, Indiana; her grandchildren, Lauren Miller (John), Hayley Sturwold, Brandon Sturwold and Emma Sturwold; her stepson Eric Harnishfeger (Tammy); her stepgrandchildren, Layne Harnishfeger (Lauren) and Ashley Harnishfeger; her great grandchildren, Emalyn and Kamryn; her siblings, Donna McCool of Penntown and Roger Richter of Sunman, Indiana; and her sister-in-law Joanne Harnishfeger-Sottong. She is also survived by her children and grandchildren.
