She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Sauerland and Alma Sauerland (Fehlinger); her husband Bruce D. Bernhart; and her brother Otto Joseph Sauerland. She is survived by: her siblings, Alberta M. "Bertie" Sauerland of Brookville, Indiana and James Sauerland of Brookville, Indiana; her siblings-in-law, Janice Sauerland of Brookville, Indiana and Charles Heineman of Texas; her nieces, Jo Bales of Winchester and Jennifer King (Lee) of Dublin; her nephew Jeff Sauerland (Karen) of Blooming Grove, Indiana; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Brandon Bales of Winchester, Andy Sauerland (Katie) of Blooming Grove, Matt Sauerland of Blooming Grove, Marissa Bales of Indianapolis and Emilee King of Dublin, Ohio. She is also survived by several cousins and friends.
