It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mable Lucille Hendryx of Brookston, Indiana, born in Wolcott, Indiana, who passed away on April 14, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Mathew and Adeline Mathew (Bergeron); her husband JD Hendryx; her in-laws, Chester and Susie Hendryx; her son Gary Hendryx; her daughter-in-law Kelli Hendryx; her granddaughter Stacy Brouwer Brown; and her siblings, Louie Mathew, Bernie Mathew, Izzy Mathew, Phil Mathew, Orville Mathew, Bob Mathew, Martha Jackson and Vernon Mathew.
She is survived by: her children, Suzann Brouwer (Hank) of Buck Creek, Jeff Hendryx (Nancy) of Morton, IL, Mark Hendryx (Kathy) of Lafayette and Linda Hurst (Jerry) of Brookston; her daughter-in-law Pam Hendryx of Brookston; her grandchildren, Sara Bridwell (Ed), Clayton, Kendall, Betsy Kirk (Josh), Callahan, Max, Mason and Jon Brouwer (Alisa); her great grandchildren, Taylor, Hannah, Holly Yordy (Michael), Tripp, Chloe, Chelsie Hendryx-Penny, Jo, Natalie Altman (Mike), Emery, Abby, Jesse Hendryx (Katie), Emma, Lucy, Austin, Ashley Clark (Ross), Hailey, Peyton, Ava, Olivia, Jake Hurst (Alex) and Wyatt; her sisters, Alice Shillis and Grace Oilar; and her siblings-in-law, Georgia Hendryx and Pat Barrett. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
