He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Brettnacher and Alice Brettnacher (Leffert); his brother Gary Brettnacher; and his son Mike Brettnacher. He is survived by: his children, Theresa Farney (Loren) of Brookston and Daniel Brettnacher (Becky) of West Lafayette; his siblings, Carolyn Riley (late Vint) of Lafayette, Kay Siple (Tom) of Lafayette, Judy Hart (Larry) of Lafayette, Chuck Brettnacher (Pat) of Lafayette and Kim Brown (Doug) of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Ashley Hensler (Wes) of Brookston, Austen Hensler (Zach) of Brookston, Aaron Farney of Brookston, Grant Brettnacher of Zionsville, Chelsea Brettnacher of West Lafayette, Chloe Brettnacher of Wolcott, Doc Brettnacher of West Lafayette and Koen Brettnacher of West Lafayette; and his great grandchildren, Maverick, Kip, Hank, Boone, Brooks, Larson, Johnny B and Lucy Hensler. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
