He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Guntrip (Swank) and Paul Guntrip; his son Jeffery; and his siblings, Larry and Diane.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Jackson; his children, Cindy Guntrip of Brookston, Angie Cunningham of Lafayette and David Guntrip; his sister Jo Ann Guntrip of Brookston; his grandchildren, Cory, Kayla Cunningham and James; and his great grandchildren, Sophia, Giovanni DelReal of Lafayette, Shar George and Lori Sondgeroth.
