He was predeceased by: his son Mark Scott; his brother Phil Scott; and his siblings-in-law, Alyce Tatum, Galen Shultz and Gordon Denton.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Shultz Scott; his children, Dennis (Ginny), Judy Davidson (Denny), Randy (Amy) and Jennifer Rollag (Mike); his granddaughters, Trisha Thompson (Ashley), Melissa Waters (Joshua) and Kathryn McDermott (Kyle); his children, Megan Scott, Erin Kolbe (Matthew), Natalie Scott, Kirsten Rollag and Dianna Rollag; his grandchild Taylor Scott (Taylor); and his parents-in-law, Doris Jean, Virgil Shultz, Dorothy Shultz and Marilyn Denton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the White County Community Foundation – Tri-County Scholarships; or to American Legion Charities, in honor of George Scott.
