He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Darnell "JD" Hendryx and Mable Hendryx (Mathew) of Brookston; his parents-in-law, Bill and Julie Hinsey; his sister-in-law Kelli Hendryx; and his niece Stacy Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Pam; his daughters, Sara Bridwell and Betsy Kirk; his siblings, Suzann Brouwer, Jeff Hendryx, Mark Hendryx and Linda Hurst; and his grandchildren, Clayton, Kendall Bridwell and Callahan Kirk. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Memorials may be made in Gary's name to the Brookston Fire Department – Building Fund or the Brookston/Chalmers First Response.
