She was predeceased by: her parents, William Mills and Bernice Mills; her grandparents, Hattie and Harrison Mills; and her sisters, Norma Hamilton and Carol Jo Green.
She is survived by: her children, Michelle Brown of Lafayette and Ronald Brown (Pam) of Chalmers; her grandsons, Nathan Simmons of Lafayette and Walter Alvarez (Kathryn); her stepgrandchildren, Brodie of Chalmers and Chad Dillon (Morgan) of Chalmers; her siblings, Mary Beth Lakshmanan (Laks) of North Carolina, Robert Mills of Mishawaka, Mark Mills (LeighAnn) of Warsaw and Cindy Nichols (Don) of Mishawaka; her sister-in-law Charlotte Brown; and her grandchildren, Jaden Michael and Adrian Parker. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
