He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Armstrong and Corine I. Armstrong (Foster); his brothers, Thomas "Tim" Armstrong and John "Jack" Armstrong; and his grandson Johnny Estep.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Elaine Lange; his daughters, Karyn Armstrong Lail of Elkhart, Nancy Armstrong Gunderson (Chris) of Indianapolis and Barbara Armstrong Eble (Ben) of Indianapolis; and his grandchildren, Alec Estep, Abbie Estep, Will, Jay, Kate Gunderson, Maggie Snow and Eleanor Eble. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
