She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifton Thornton and Clara Thornton (Bishop); her husband William Elliott; her daughter Dorla Demerly; her stepson Ryan Elliott; her brother Jack Thornton; and her grandsons, Matthew and Davis.
She is survived by: her children, Wanda Scott (Jim) of Elkhart, Dawn Gray (James) of Hobart, Jim Demerly of Elkhart and Steve Demerly of Goshen; her stepdaughter Tina Humbree (Les) of Elkhart; and her siblings, Sharon Davis of Cheboygan, MI, Eleanor Demerly of Elkhart, Betty Thornton of Gaylord, MI and Virgil Thornton of Cheboygan, MI. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
