He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence E. Stahley and Lucille Stahley (Hoke); and his siblings, Sandra Johnson, Beverly Miller and Marvin Stahley.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Hire; his children, Tim Stahley of Middlebury, Valerie Rogers of Bristol, Teresa Jackson (Andrew III) of Goshen and Todd Stahley (Laura) of Valdez, Alaska; his brother Ron Stahley (Linda) of Wolcottville; and his sister-in-law Karen Stahley of Nappanee. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
