He was predeceased by: his parents, Simon Knepp and Barbara Knepp (Bender); his brothers, Lester and Wilbur Knepp; and his grandson-in-law John Michel.
He is survived by: his wife Anna Knepp (Bontrager); his children, Karen Wharton of Sarasota, FL and Ronald Knepp (Peggy) of Goshen; his granddaughters, Stephanie Michel of Bristol and Carmen McGraw (Mike) of Goshen; his stepgrandchildren, Tanya Miller (Scott) of Goshen, Steve Vail (Pam) of Millersburg, Doug Vail of Goshen and Rick Vail of Newport News, VA; and his brothers, Lamar Knepp of Ocala and Simon Knepp, Jr. (Karen) of Sarasota. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren, 12 step great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to Faith Mission, Elkhart.
