With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Helvie of Bringhurst, Indiana, born in Flora, Indiana, who passed away on August 26, 2022 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Helvie and Catherine Dunkle Helvie; and his sisters, Estella Helvie Everman, Betty Downham Johnson and Virginia Downham Gibson.

He is survived by: his siblings, James "Jim" Helvie, Ann Helvie Byrum (Jim) of Flora and Charlotte Helvie Hicks of Flora; his former wife Katherine Piper; his wife Sally Willis of Elkhart Indiana; his uncle Dick Johnson; his niece Jean Lear; and his son James (Chuck). He is also survived by his three sons and 1 daughter.
