He was predeceased by: his parents, J. D. Hensley and Dorothy Hinton; and his brothers, Willie "Gene" Hensley and Jeff Hensley. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Hensley; his sons, Jerry Hensley Jr. and Ronald Hensley; and his stepchildren, Carla Elam and Jack Dixon. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
