She was predeceased by: her parents, John Skees, and Willa Bell Skees, Sr. (Campbell); and her siblings, John Skees, Jr. and Beverly Shaw. She is survived by: her husband Carl Mattern; her daughter Melissa; and her friend Bo Glover. She is also survived by her daughter, many nieces and nephews.
