He was predeceased by: his parents, Brightsel Carothers and Wilma Carothers (Hepler); his son Leon Carothers; and his sisters, Eudora Marburger and Glenice Balsley.
He is survived by: his wife Muriel Miller; and his sons, Shawn Carothers (Deb) of Arizona and Dana Carothers (Sherri) of Nappanee. He is also survived by four grandchildren, one great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the donor's choice.
