He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Johnston and Eunice Carol Holmes (Lauber); his daughter Kara Anne; and his brother-in-law Robert Lant. He is survived by: his wife Janice Kay Lant; his children, Daniel Holmes of Bremen, Jennifer Holmes of Bremen and Jill Snyder (Ted) of Bremen; his grandchildren, Jessica Holmes of Bremen, Haley Ford (Jimmy) of Bremen, Matthew Snyder of Bremen and Lily Snyder of Bremen; his great grandchild Dawsyn Willa-Grace Ford of Bremen; his sister Carolyn Rodefer; his nephews, Rick and Robert; and his niece Lisa Hughes (Scott).
