He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Oberleas and Lora Oberleas (Cline); his wife Evelyn Oberleas (Rowe); his great grandchild Matthew DeWitt; and his siblings, Richard Oberleas, Josephine Cox, Susanna Sears, Helen Heiny and Don Oberleas.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jacquelyn Young (Clifford) of Tippecanoe, IN, Deborah Rudd of Reston, VA, Sonya Oberleas of Sterling, VA and Teresa Siqueiros (Troy) of Winston-Salem, NC; his grandchildren, Ernie DeWitt Jr. (Tammy), Michelle Rudd, Devyn Siqueiros and Brooke Siqueiros; his great grandchildren, Michael DeWitt and Amanda Dewitt (Kyle Cotter); his great great grandchildren, Baylee Cotter and Lincoln Cotter; his siblings, Pearl Purvis and John Oberleas; and his brother-in-law Glen Heiny.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorial donations may be made to the Bremen Church of the Brethren Missions, Gideon's, Bremen Kiwanis, Community Hospital of Bremen or in the form of a nonperishable food items brought to the funeral home for delivery to a food pantry.
