He was predeceased by: his parents, Merrell Short and Gladys Short (Spaulding); his wife Donna Short (Nale); and his sister Loretta Vadas. He is survived by: his children, Steve (Laura Short), Doug (Teri Short) and Laurie (Robert Drake); his grandsons, Christopher (Nicole Short), Jason (Abbey Short), Jarrod (Taylor Short), Jacob (Jackie Short), Jack Short (Joe Short) and Zachary Drake (Matthew Drake); his great grandchildren, Jackson, Sophie, Emmett, Charlotte and Wyn; his brother Byron Short; and his niece Linda Vadas Sulecki.
