She was predeceased by: her parents, James Groves and Alice M. Groves (Ebel); her husband William "Bill" Hammer; and her brother James Groves. She is survived by: her friend Sandi Goebel; her children, Kevin Hammer (Lori) of Davison and Karen Burk (Jim); her grandchildren, Courtney Lash (Jason), Joseph Burk (Chelsey), Emily Hammer (Blake Hiben), Katelyn Burk (Andrew Fishero), Tori Gard (Wyatt) and Mary Burk (Eli Britton); and her great grandchildren, Ryan, Abbie, Kyliey, Owen, Joanna, Elliott and Lucas. She is also survived by several extended family members and friends.
