He was predeceased by: his parents, William Modesitt and Eunice Modesitt (Crosley); his wife Fredia Modesitt; his daughter Lana K. Modesitt; and his siblings, John Modesitt and Sue Withers (Modesitt).
He is survived by: his sons, Paul Modesitt (Debbie) of Brazil and Ronald "Andy" Modesitt (Teresa) of New Richmond, Indiana; his brother Don Modesitt (Mary) of Brazil; his sister-in-law Mary Jane Alsip of Brazil; his grandchildren, Kelsey Tincher (Cameron) of Fillmore, Taylor Thomas (Michael) of Crawfordsville and Garrett Modesitt (Danielle) of Alabama; and his great grandchildren, Addison, Easton Tincher and Benjamin Thomas.
