He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Swartz and Bernice Swartz (Laughlin). He is survived by: his wife Joyce Swartz of Brazil; his sons, Eric Swartz (LaFonda Woolf) of Bowling Green, Danny Swartz (Carol) of Indianapolis, Henry Swartz (Zanna DiBartoli) of Indianapolis and John Swartz of Terre Haute; his brother Hugh Swartz; and his grandchildren, Luke, Corey Swartz, Ethan, Aaron Boring, Macie Klaypak, Caleb, Collin Swartz, Brittany Gooding, Bree Rosen and Zachary Swartz. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews and other extended family.
