He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Mitchell and Martha Mitchell (Hinshaw); his mother-in-law Marjorie Brockway; and his brother-in-law Dr. Russell Frye. He is survived by: his wife Jill Allyn Brockway of Hoopeston, IL; his children, Jennifer Eldridge (Ashton) of Phoeniz, AZ, Jessica Quinn (Patrick) of Phoenix, AZ and James Mitchell of Boswell, IN; his siblings, Dr. June Frye of Prince George, Stephen Mitchell (Wanda) of Decatur, IL and John Mitchell of South Bend, IN; his sisters-in-law, Jane Archer (Jary) and Judy Brockway (Mark Skelton); and his grandchildren, Megan, Emily Quinn and Jack Eldridge. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
