She was predeceased by: her parent Brooks Harry. She is survived by: her parent Ruth Eileen Carew (Jones); her sons, Stephen Ness of Evansville, Christopher Ness of Evansville and Kyle Ness of Chandler; and her brother Jackie Carew. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure or the American Nurses Foundation.
