He is survived by: his wife Patricia Niswonger (Cates) of Boonville, IN; his children, Scott Niswonger, Stephanie Burgard and Derek Niswonger (Candy); his grandchildren, Scottie, Kyle, Debra Niswonger, James Burgard, Matthew Burgard and Dawson Brodecky; his sister Cherie Grose (George) of Rockport, IN; and his great grandchildren, Jasmine Niswonger and Kairi Niswonger. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Evansville Mesker Park Zoo Botanical Gardens, 1545 Mesker Park Dr., Evansville, IN 47720.
