She was predeceased by: her parents, Rhoda Belle and Charles Melvin Hart. She is survived by: her husband Amyl Gene Nix of Boonville; her children, Rudy Nix (Mackenzie) of Barksdale, Texas and Rhonda Nash of Evansville; and her granddaughter Laurie-Leigh White (Trey) of Houston. She is also survived by other extended family and numerous friends.
In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions to the Dolly Parton Imagination Library in Jean's name or to a scholarship fund the family plans to set up in the near future for Castle High School students who seek higher education in literature and language arts.
