He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Rubin Lee Powell Sr. and Betha Wilson Powell; his wife Jeanette Bradley Powell; and his siblings, Patty Pearson, Brenda Wilson and Raymond Powell.
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Shirley Leslie Carlisle, William L Carlisle Dennis Leslie, Tonya Leslie, Phyllis Leslie Nelson, Bill Nelson, Shiela Crayne Self, Bill Self, Debbie Bradley Manion, David Manion, Chris, Stacy Powell and Jennifer Powell; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Sherry Carlisle Smith, Timothy Carlisle, Lorrie Carlisle Higgs, Angie Nelson Turner, John Mike Nelson, Sam Leslie, Ben Leslie, Johnathon Self, Tamara Self, Tiffany Self, Holly Lawrie, Erica Bard and Adam Bumgardener. He is also survived by 20 great-great-nieces and nephews.
