With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roy E. Helms (Boonville, Indiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 12, 2025 at the age of 88. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Helms and Hazel Helms (Perigo); his wife Gynith; and his brothers, Thomas Helms (Velma) and Robert Helms (Jean).
He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Mangrum (Wendell) of McEwen, TN and Kathy Helms of Newburgh, IN; his stepgranddaughter Wendy Young (Matt); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Brady (Ashlyn) and Blaise Young (Taylor); and his brother Edwin Helms (Myrna). He is also survived by his family and many faithful friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Koehler Funeral Home (304 E Main St, Boonville, IN 47601). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
