He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Wirtz and Estell Wirtz (Sly); and his siblings, Melvin, Selma and Barbara.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Ann Wirtz; his children, Marla Roca (Ed), Alan Wirtz (Mary) and DeeAnn Wendt (Bob); his grandchildren, Juston Roca (Rishi), Brandie Guess (Chris), Lucas Roca (Whitney), Auston, Eli Wirtz, Teyla, Sophia, Emily and Jacob Wendt; his great grandchildren, Silas, Indigo, Roxi, Shooter and Ryker; and his niece Jamie Miller. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
