He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Carpenter and Susie Carpenter (Green); his daughter Heather Carpenter; and his siblings, Waldo, Lawrence and Mary.
He is survived by: his wife Lela "Fay" Carpenter; his daughters, Debra Way (Gary) and Marsha Carpenter; his foster daughter Christine Davids; his son Heath Carpenter; his grandchildren, Tyler, Michael, Madison and Mazy; and his sister-in-law Sue Campbell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
