He was predeceased by: his parents, Adam Schatz and Francis Schatz; his former wife Pauline; his wife Mildred (Schnellenberger); and his siblings, Linus, Alvin, Arthur Schatz, Rosina Schatz Petry and Olivia Schatz Welp.

He is survived by: his stepdaughters, Carolyn "Tena" Rudolph and Lisa Bowman (Gary); his grandchildren, Lori Higdon, Frank Howard and Carrie Sulawske (Larry); his great grandchildren, Larry Barnhill Jr. (Megan), Cara and John Howard; and also Dan Goedde (Gayle). He is also survived by 4 great-great-grandchildren, many dear nieces, nephews, & cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Heart to Heart Hospice or charity of your choice in his honor.
