She was predeceased by: her parents, Mabel Blackford (Lee) and John Nester Lenn; her husband Alan Bender; her son John Bender; her great grandchildren, Ethan and Logan Knight; her niece Tina Baxter; and her close friends, Imogene Schmidt, Dorothy Hanold and Sandy Shreve.

She is survived by: her grandchildren, John Knight (Dani), Krista Bell (Nick), Emma Bender, Brooke Wallace, Kami Lehman, Demi Wetzel, Kurt Johnson (Elizabeth) and Ashley Johnson; her great grandchildren, Kaden Key, Michael Key, Ledger Birkle, Maxwell Knight, Vincent Knight, Loretta Mates, Nova Lehman, Forest Lehman, Gabe Wallace, Emma Wallace, Camden Cobb and Kennedy Green; her niece Darlene Ettensohn; her nephews, Tim Ettensohn and Eric Thomas; her daughter-in-law Cyndi Fortune (Terry); and her granddaughter-in-law Mary Maldonado (Sam).
