He was predeceased by: his father Curtis Chapman; his wife Nila Jean Chapman; his siblings, Geneva Powers, Marjorie Daily, Imogene Swain, Lois Greene, Alma Limp, Ernest, Henry and Jay Chapman; and his grandson John Callum Clark Chapman.
He is survived by: his children, Gail Greattinger (Don) and J. D. Chapman; his grandchildren, Jamie Rohrscheib (Tracy), Sarah Hall and Crystal Wissner (Andy); and his great grandchildren, Zachary Rohrscheib (Sierra), Jake Rohrscheib, Griffen Rohrscheib, Sydney Rohrscheib, Izzy Hall, Ethan Hall, Addy Boyd and Paige Wissner.
