He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Simpson and Muriel Simpson (Cohoon). He is survived by: his wife Sandra Murphy; his children, John Simpson (Tracie), Justin Simpson (Brooke), Maggie Maassen (Joe) and Megan Scott (Josh); his siblings, Patty Hully, Mary Gentry (Gerald) and Joe Simpson; his grandchildren, Tyler, Darin, Lacie, Leighton, Londyn, John, Lauren, Abigail, Kubrick and Aurora; and his pets, Jenna, Trouble, Rascal, Tuxedo and Boo.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Warrick County Humane Society in Jeffrey's name.
