He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Scales and Dora Scales (Hay); his wife Janet Scales; his daughter Leshia Scales; and his siblings, Darrell Scales, Delores Gammon, Arthur Scales, Erma Jean Atkinson, Thelma Wallace, Leslie Scales and Glen Scales.
He is survived by: his children, Dawn Scales (Charles Woods) of Princeton, IN, Justin R. Scales (Carla) of Princeton, IN, Mary Scales (Josh Hunt) of Boonville, IN and Rebecka "Becky" Scales of Boonville, IN; his grandchildren, Danielle, Owen, Mashelle, Grace and Charlotte; and his siblings, Barbara Bailey, Jerry Scales (Phyllis), Shirley Gowen and Gayle Goedde (Daniel). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family requests all guests who attend the visitation or service to wear a mask.
