He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus William Shelton and Clestia Marie Shelton (Hodges); his son Jonathan Edward Shelton; his siblings, Paul Shelton, Lucille Johnson, Hazel Conner, Lois Thompson, Carolyn McConnell and Ruby Rusk; and his grandson Matthew James Shelton.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jeanette Shelton (Reynolds); his children, Bruce Shelton (Terri), Beth Kloosterman (John) and Rebecca Hobby (John); his sister Ella Shelton; and his grandchildren, Erin Smith (Daniel), Annie Martin (Bobby), Emily Shelton, Katie Herbert (Trent), Hannah Hobby and Holden Hobby. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, favorite uncle to his many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (214 E Walnut St, Boonville, IN 47601).
