He is survived by: his wife Peggy; his children, Brian Hardy (Tamara) and Carmen Hardy-Dowling (Alan); and his stepchildren, Robin Rolley (Alan) and Gregory Schaffer (Randi). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Warrick Humane Society.
