She was predeceased by: her parents, Ed Leonard and Caroline Leonard (Main); her husband Charles Nix; her children, Lenny Martin, Cherryl Leslie and Dannie Fisher; her son-in-law Nathan Simmons Jr.; her great grandchildren, Bailey and Payton Shelton; her sister Geneva Main; and her siblings-in-law, Darrell Nix, Gerletta Russell, Ruth McDaniel, Gladys Miller, Ruby Noffsinger, Mildred Woolsey, Ethel Johnson and Elois Phillips.
She is survived by: her great grandchildren, Riley, Chase and Raegan Shelton; her daughter Karen Simmons; her son-in-law Fred Fisher; and her grandchildren, Shelly Thompson (Aaron), Melissa Woolard (Daryl), Angie Gunter (Bobby), Charles Nix, Crystal Kirchgessner, Lucas Leslie, Jonathan Leslie (Rachel), Eric Leslie, Wendy Shelton (Darren), Candi Ritchie (Jacob) and Leana Gunn. She is also survived by 26 great grandchildren; 33 great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Koehler Funeral Home (304 E Main St, Boonville, IN 47601). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
