He is survived by: his spouse Sherry "Welde" Schafer; his children, Lori Lyons (Joe Hurst), Phillis Wyatt and Carlos Schafer Jr; his siblings, Bob Schafer (Jalene) and Connie Thewes (Jim); his grandchildren, Christopher Johnson, Lauren Lyons, William Broshears (Samantha), Brendon Broshears (Abbie Williamson), Chelsea Wyatt and Jacob Jett-Schafer; and his great grandchildren, Anna Johnson, Lexi, Lilly, Liam, Aydden and Brionna Broshears.
