He was predeceased by: his parents, Owen Held and Mary Jane Held (Caswell); his granddaughter Errin Kissel; and his brother Owen C. Held. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Held of Boonville, IN; his daughters, Jane Jaggers (Stephen) of Rockport, IN, Melody Hudson of Rockport, IN, Veronica Clingerman (Dave) of Astatula, FL and Nancy Kendall (Jeromy) of Satellite Beach, FL; his sisters, Nancy Kell and Ruth Clark (Bud); and his mother-in-law Mary Jane Woods. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.
